On the Way to Spring, Temperatures Rise To 16 Degrees… Thick Fog in Various Areas
On March 25, temperatures in South Korea are expected to rise to 16 degrees during the day, despite a chilly morning with temperatures around 0 degrees, while health precautions are advised due to significant temperature changes.
On March 25, South Korea is experiencing a notable temperature shift, with morning temperatures around 0 degrees Celsius gradually rising to about 16 degrees in the afternoon. However, regions such as the central provinces, Jeolla, and Yeongnam are experiencing high temperature variances, exceeding 15 degrees, prompting health advisories. The Korea Meteorological Administration reports that morning temperatures will be similar to, or slightly lower than, average levels, with daytime temperatures expected to exceed these norms.
Areas that experienced rain or snowfall the previous day are at risk of icy roads and black ice, warranting heightened traffic safety measures. Regions including southern Gyeonggi and the mountainous areas of Gangwon are forecasted to encounter dense fog, with visibility dropping below 200 meters. Meanwhile, other inland areas may experience visibility conditions of less than 1 kilometer. Additionally, light rainfall is predicted for parts of Busan and Ulsan, while Jeju could see around 5mm of rain by the following day.
Certain areas of the metropolitan region and Gangwon are under dry weather advisories due to low humidity, as strong winds increase the risk of fires. Despite these conditions, nationwide fine dust levels are expected to remain at satisfactory levels, classified as 'good' to 'moderate.'
