The Nova Litoral Concessionaire (CNL) has issued a report predicting a significant influx of traffic for the Mogi-Bertioga highway during this year's Carnival, estimating that about 106,700 vehicles will transit the road. As part of the preparations, the highway will see heightened activity from February 13 to 18 for Carnival, with the CNL deploying additional resources and operational measures to manage the expected surge in traffic.
To ensure smooth flow and road safety, the CNL is implementing a comprehensive 'Carnival Operation'. This includes a 24-hour monitoring service by the Operational Control Center (CCO) in collaboration with highway policing units.
