During the Carnival festivities from Friday, February 13, to Wednesday, February 18, it is anticipated that around 690,000 vehicles will traverse the highways in the Itapetininga area of São Paulo. This figure highlights the significant movement of traffic typical of this festive season, as many people travel for celebrations and vacations. The highway operator managing these routes expects the highest volume of traffic on the Castello Branco Highway (SP-280), which serves as a key connection to numerous cities, including Quadra, Cesário Lange, and others. Forecasts indicate that approximately 400,000 vehicles will utilize this particular stretch, showcasing its importance for regional connectivity during the holiday. Additionally, the Raposo Tavares Highway (SP-270) is expected to accommodate around 91,000 vehicles, with similar estimates for the Antonio Romano Schincariol and Francisco da Silva Pontes Highways.
