In Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, police have taken a significant action in the ongoing investigation of a cough syrup trafficking case by attaching properties worth around 28 crores owned by Bholaprasad Jaiswal, the father of the main accused, Shubham Jaiswal. This operation was carried out under the directives of the Deputy Commissioner of Police and involved several key localities including Bhelupur, Lalapura, Jagatganj, Shivpur, and Madauli. The police stated that the assets seized were generated through illegal earnings, which had been invested in real estate, and the attachment was formalized after a thorough investigation.
