For Sunday morning, predictions indicate clear skies and a calmer wind, resulting in even colder temperatures sinking to between -24 to -19 degrees Celsius in many areas, and dipping as low as -28 to -25 degrees Celsius in parts of eastern Latvia, making it one of the coldest nights of the season.

Heading into next week, the severe frosts are expected to continue, with night temperatures potentially dropping below -20 degrees Celsius on several occasions. While the coastal areas may experience slightly milder conditions with temperatures around -15 degrees Celsius, the overall weather will remain chilly, and citizens are urged to prepare for the sustained cold ahead. This forecast indicates that the potential for public health impacts and travel disruptions should be anticipated due to the severe weather conditions.
