Police action results in the arrest of six people suspected of drug trafficking in Amapá
Six individuals suspected of drug trafficking were arrested in Amapá, Brazil, following police actions in two separate neighborhoods.
In the capital city, two young men aged 18 and 19 were arrested in the Congós neighborhood in the South Zone after residents reported drug sales happening near a bridge. Upon seeing the police vehicle, the suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended. Authorities seized narcotic material during the arrest. Meanwhile, in the city of Santana, four men were arrested in the Paraíso neighborhood when the Tactical Police Battalion received reports of drug sales occurring outside a residence. Upon the police's arrival, the suspects tried to dispose of the drugs but were caught red-handed. The police confiscated portions of marijuana and the case was handed over to the Integrated Public Security Operations Center in Santana. All suspects were taken for a custody hearing.
