MSC: New port rotation Trade NWC UK – Greece and Turkey
MSC has enhanced its NWC UK service to and from Greece and Turkey to improve reliability and service coverage.
Gianluigi Aponte's Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced enhancements to its North-West Continent (NWC) UK service connecting Greece and Turkey, aiming to improve reliability and customer scheduling. The company emphasized the importance of avoiding port congestion while increasing the frequency of service. This strategic decision aligns with MSC's growth strategy, reflecting their commitment to enhance service quality and connectivity.
The revised port rotation not only avoids congestion at current port facilities but also aims to improve the overall service coverage for MSC's customers. The adjustments are designed to create more resilience in service during challenging shipping conditions. As part of this initiative, MSC has invested in additional shipping capacity and implemented a circular approach to port calls, beginning with the MSC Santa Maria, which embarked from Liverpool on February 4, 2026.
These developments indicate MSC's proactive response to changing demands in shipping logistics in the region and highlight the competitive nature of maritime transport services between the UK, Greece, and Turkey. By expanding its service capabilities, MSC aims to enhance its market position and customer satisfaction while addressing the complexities of port operations in response to increased shipping volumes and potential delays.
