Paralympic bronze medallist Eniola Bolaji is leading Nigeria’s delegation to the 2025 Para-Badminton World Championships in Bahrain, which begins on February 8.

Eniola Bolaji, a Paralympic bronze medallist, will lead Nigeria's three-athlete delegation to the 2025 Para-Badminton World Championships in Bahrain, scheduled from February 8 to 14. Bolaji, currently ranked world number two, aims to secure medals for her country after a successful performance at the Egypt International Championship where she clinched a gold medal in January. This championship marks her second international competition of the year.

The Nigerian team also includes Chigozie Jeremiah, who is preparing for the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympics, competing in the men's SL4 category, and Chinyere Okoro, the only female entrant representing Nigeria in the women's SL4 event. The participation of these athletes highlights Nigeria's ongoing investment and focus on developing talents in para-sports, aiming to enhance their competitive presence on the global stage.

Furthermore, Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in sports. He reaffirmed the commission’s dedication to providing all Nigerian athletes, especially those in para-sports, with opportunities to excel internationally, thereby showcasing the commitment of the government to support elite athletes irrespective of their physical abilities.
