In a significant drug bust, Brazilian authorities uncovered 2.8 tons of marijuana concealed among a shipment of yerba mate destined for tereré in a truck on the Transbrasiliana Highway (BR-153) in José Bonifácio, São Paulo. The operation, which took place on Friday afternoon, involved law enforcement conducting routine inspections on vehicles travelling the highway when the illicit cargo was discovered. In addition to the large quantity of marijuana, officers also seized 65 bundles of marijuana and 19 packs of hashish that were hidden within the truck's cargo.
