In a significant law enforcement operation on Tuesday morning, Brazilian police intercepted a truck on BR-163 near Mundo Novo, resulting in the seizure of approximately 10 tons of marijuana. This operation marks the largest drug bust of the year, conducted by the Department of Border Operations (DOF) in coordination with the Department for the Repression of Frontier Crimes (Defron). The police stopped three trucks in total, but only one contained the illegal cargo.

The marijuana was reportedly transported from Paraguay and was destined for Londrina in Paraná state.
