Construction on the viaduct changes traffic on the Rapidão Rodoanel this weekend in Manaus; check detours
Maintenance work at a viaduct in Manaus will change traffic patterns on the Rapidão Rodoanel this weekend.
Maintenance work on the Lydia da Eira Corrêa viaduct in Manaus will lead to altered traffic patterns on the Rapidão Rodoanel Metropolitan over the weekend of Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th. The interventions will affect internal ramps at the intersection of Santos Dumont and Torquato Tapajós avenues, requiring drivers to plan for detours to reach their destinations.
On Saturday, October 7th, maintenance will occur on the Northwest internal ramp from 9 AM to 1 PM. Drivers leaving from Arquiteto José Henriques Avenue wanting to access Torquato Tapajós Avenue will need to follow a detour of approximately 1.9 kilometers via Tarumã Road towards Ponta Negra before making a turnaround. This change can increase travel time, and residents have been advised to plan their travel accordingly.
On Sunday, October 8th, maintenance is scheduled for the Southeast internal ramp in two time slots: from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. During these times, drivers needing to access Torquato Tapajós Avenue will also face a detour, required to travel 1.3 kilometers to make a turn at Arquiteto José Henriques Avenue. Contingency plans for weather events have been mentioned, indicating that the schedule may change in case of rain, further underscoring the need for drivers to stay updated with the latest traffic information during this maintenance period.
