Procon reveals price survey of items for Holy Week in Aracaju

Procon Aracaju conducted a price survey to help consumers with their purchases for Holy Week, revealing significant price variations across essential items and Easter chocolates.

Procon Aracaju has released a detailed price survey aimed at assisting consumers in Aracaju with their Easter shopping. The survey, conducted between March 16 and 19, covered eight establishments in the city and monitored the prices of 11 essential products commonly purchased for Easter Sunday lunches, such as fish and olive oil, as well as traditional Easter chocolates.

The findings highlight considerable price variations that could potentially lead to savings for families during this festive period. For example, the price of olive oil (500 ml) ranged from R$ 27.99 to R$ 38.90, while tilapia fillets (800g) were found priced between R$ 34.99 and R$ 57.99. Interestingly, the lowest recorded price for 600g of cod was R$ 69.90, and the cheapest peeled shrimp (200g) was R$ 21.99, showcasing the diversity of pricing across different vendors.

Notably, the survey also included a mapping of Easter chocolate prices, collected from nine different points of sale in the capital, including artisanal options. These insights provided by Procon are intended to empower consumers to make more informed purchasing decisions, thereby optimizing their holiday budgets during the Easter season and emphasizing the importance of price comparison in everyday shopping.
