The analysis uncovered that the same product could vary in price by as much as R$ 27.30 depending on the store. Among the items surveyed, a 199g Easter egg had prices ranging from R$ 42.69 to R$ 69.99, a notable variation of 64%. Furthermore, a 250.6g box of chocolates from one brand showed an even wider price discrepancy, with costs between R$ 12.90 and R$ 21.49, resulting in a staggering 67% difference. The Procon emphasized that these price variations can significantly impact consumer budgets during the festive season, prompting shoppers to be more discerning in their choices.
