World Water Day: Cuiabá museum will have free programming with workshops and discussion circles
To celebrate World Water Day, the Museum of Natural History in Cuiabá will host free events aimed at environmental awareness.
In celebration of World Water Day, which takes place on Sunday (22nd), the Museum of Natural History in Mato Grosso, located in Cuiabá, will offer a free program focused on environmental awareness from 8 am to 11 am. The events will include video screenings, discussion circles, and creative workshops, designed to reflect on the relationship between water, climate, and everyday life. Community members are encouraged to reassess their connections to the Cuiabá River and nature itself.
The event will feature three simultaneous workshops, allowing attendees flexibility in choosing activities throughout the morning. One of the highlights will be the 'Meeting of Waters - Mediated Discussion Circle,' which aims to be a space for listening and sharing, where personal stories, memories, and experiences related to water will be discussed. This initiative seeks to stimulate dialogue about environmental perceptions, especially relating to the significance of water in the community’s life.
By engaging local residents in this meaningful conversation, the Museum not only promotes environmental consciousness but also strengthens community ties around a shared commitment to sustainable practices. Such events are pivotal in fostering a sense of responsibility towards local water resources and the environment, paving the way for future conservation efforts that are inclusive and community-driven.
