This Weekend - Meteorologists Warn of Temperature Contrast: Changes Ahead Next Week
Meteorologists forecast a variable weather pattern in Lithuania over the weekend, with temperatures fluctuating between cold and mild conditions.
Lithuanian meteorologists have issued a forecast predicting variable weather conditions for the weekend, with a strengthening anticyclone over the Baltic region. Saturday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with more clouds in the southern and eastern parts of the country, while the western and northern regions are likely to experience clearer skies. Significant precipitation is not anticipated, but a weak and variable wind will persist. Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from -4°C to +1°C.
For Saturday, sunny intervals are expected during the day, with temperatures in the afternoon reaching between 7°C to 12°C, while the coastal area of Kuršių nerija may see highs of 4°C to 6°C. Meteorologists emphasize that despite the weekend’s chilly conditions, the colder temperatures will not dissipate quickly, indicating that the transition into warmer weather may require some time.
Sunday is expected to see similar weather patterns, with fewer clouds at night but an increase in cloud cover during the day. However, it is predicted that there will be more sunshine on Sunday, making it a warmer day compared to Saturday. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 0°C and 4°C in various regions, suggesting a lingering chill before any significant warming occurs in the following week.
