This weekend will bring 18 degrees of warmth, but changes are expected next week
Lithuania anticipates warm weather this weekend with temperatures reaching up to 18 degrees Celsius, but significant changes in weather patterns are expected next week.
Lithuania is set to experience a warm weekend, with temperatures soaring to 18 degrees Celsius in some regions, particularly in the southwest. The Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, represented by meteorologist Elena Klyukina, notes that Saturday will be clear and dry, with winds blowing from the southeast at 7–12 meters per second. Overnight temperatures will range between 0 to 5 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be between 11 to 16 degrees Celsius, and locations in the south-west may see temperatures reach the maximum of 18 degrees.
On Sunday, the weather will remain mostly dry overnight, although some regions in the west may experience brief showers during the day. The meteorologist predicts that winds will shift from southeast to southwest throughout the day. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, with coastal areas remaining cooler at 7 to 9 degrees Celsius. Overall, the weekend promises pleasant weather for Lithuanians, with no significant rainfall expected until a change comes on Monday.
Looking ahead to the beginning of the next week, however, the weather is anticipated to shift dramatically. Rain and potentially some snow may begin to fall on Monday, leading to cooler temperatures where night lows will again hover around 0 to 5 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be more subdued. This predicted weather change suggests that Lithuanians should prepare for a transition from the warm spring weather to conditions that may feel more winterlike as the week continues, highlighting the variability of seasonal transitions in Lithuania's climate.
