Meteorologists announce changes – news not only about the thaw: hints about what to expect this weekend
Meteorologists report varying weather conditions across Lithuania, including snowfall and temperature fluctuations, leading up to a thaw early next week.
Meteorologists in Lithuania have forecasted a series of weather changes as the country approaches the weekend. On Thursday, light snowfall is expected in many areas, with southeast winds transitioning to the northwest. Temperatures on Thursday are predicted to range between -2 to -7 degrees Celsius, while coastal areas may experience slightly milder conditions.
As the weekend approaches, Friday night may see some minor snow, but Saturday is predicted to bring more precipitation, primarily in the form of light snow. Wind speeds will increase, reaching up to 18 m/s in gusts, and temperatures will fluctuate significantly, dropping to as low as 15 degrees below zero in some areas during the night and potentially warming up to 1 degree above zero during the day.
Looking ahead to early next week, meteorologists anticipate a brief thaw, suggesting a relief from the current harsh conditions. This fluctuation in weather is significant for locals as it may impact various activities and daily life, particularly concerning transportation and outdoor plans in the changing winter conditions.
