El Carpazo, Festival of Ecuadorian Independent Music, Returns to Quito in April
The El Carpazo festival will return to Quito on April 11, uniting various Ecuadorian independent music artists for the first time in nine years.
After a nine-year hiatus, the El Carpazo festival is making a comeback in Quito, Ecuador, scheduled for April 11. The festival, which is set to take place in a circus format, will showcase various local independent music talents. This year's lineup includes notable acts like Swing Original Monks, La Máquina Camaleón, and San Pedro Bonfim, among others, highlighting the diverse musical landscape of Ecuador.
The event not only focuses on local talents, but it will also feature Colombian rap and hip-hop artist Crudo Means Raw, marking his first performance in Ecuador. José Fabara, a key figure in the festival's organization, shared insights into the evolution of the event over the years, noting that while they have been involved in organizing various concerts and events, the return of El Carpazo signifies a heightened readiness and experience in managing larger events involving national and international artists.
With a successful track record of selling out the last 13 events organized, the team behind El Carpazo is eager to embrace the growth in the local music scene and deliver an engaging festival experience.
