Musicians Antonio Neves and Thiaguinho Silva, part of the duo Neves and Silva, have released their album ‘Ladeiras de Santa Teresa’, which showcases a blend of samba and jazz. The album, featuring cover art by Pedro Pessanha, was launched on March 20 and is available in LP, CD, and digital formats. Neves, a trombonist and drummer, is known for his work with popular Brazilian artists, while Silva, the percussionist and son of acclaimed drummer Robertinho Silva, brings a unique rhythm to the collaboration.

The album’s title references the picturesque and culturally rich neighborhood of Santa Teresa in Rio de Janeiro, known for its bohemian atmosphere. In this project, Neves and Silva explore the deep musical roots embedded in the cobblestone streets of the area, reflecting the rhythmic and melodic influences of both samba and jazz.
