The Convention & Visitors Bureau of Nova Friburgo is expanding its operations to regional level to enhance tourism by integrating neighboring municipalities.
The Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Nova Friburgo, located in the Serra region of Rio de Janeiro, has expanded its scope to operate regionally in order to promote tourism. This initiative involves collaboration with neighboring municipalities including Cachoeiras de Macacu, Bom Jardim, Duas Barras, Cordeiro, and Cantagalo to collectively boost the region's tourist appeal. The aim of this regional integration is to foster a stronger tourism sector by sharing resources, marketing efforts, and attracting more visitors to the area.
Cachoeiras de Macacu was the first municipality to officially join this collaborative initiative, which was formalized during a meeting held on Tuesday (17th) in a local hotel. The event brought together representatives from the tourism sector, local authorities, and institutional leaders, demonstrating a united front for regional tourism development. Notable attendees included the Secretary of Tourism from Cachoeiras de Macacu, Marilena, along with the secretaries from various cities' conventions, signifying a growing interest and commitment to tourism enhancement in the region.
This initiative not only serves to strengthen the tourism economy but also aims to create a more cohesive strategy among the participating municipalities. By working together, these towns can leverage their unique offerings and collectively market to a broader audience, ultimately fostering a more vibrant tourist landscape in Serrana do Rio.
