Ogun appoints new procurement bureau DG
The Ogun State Government has appointed Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, succeeding the late Dr. Adesina Olanloye.
The Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Mrs. Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement. This change comes after the passing of Dr. Adesina Olanloye, who previously held the position. The announcement was made by the State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, highlighting that the appointment adhered to the stateβs procurement law.
In his statement, Onasanya emphasized that Bolarinwa-Adebowale was selected through a rigorous and merit-based process, involving the screening and interview of qualified candidates from within the state civil service. He noted that she possesses the required competencies, skills, and knowledge necessary for her new role, ensuring that the Bureau is led by an individual well-prepared to handle the complexities of public procurement in Ogun State.
Bolarinwa-Adebowale has a background in law and began her career in the Ogun State Civil Service as a State Counsel in 2005. Before her recent promotion, she served as the Deputy Director of Civil Litigation in the Ministry of Justice and has been involved with the Bureau of Public Procurement as a legal officer. Her appointment represents a commitment to maintaining high standards within the Bureau, signaling a positive step toward effective public procurement management in the state.
