The National Guard will conduct tactical exercises in Ropaži region
From March 21 to 22, the Latvian National Guard will hold tactical exercises in the Ropaži district to improve combat readiness and skills.
The Latvian National Guard's 1st Riga Brigade will conduct tactical exercises in the Makstenieki area of Ropaži from March 21 to 22. These exercises will involve the 19th Combat Support Battalion and regular training will be conducted by the Student Infantry Battalion of the same brigade. The National Guardsmen will enhance their individual combat skills and unit preparedness for various scenarios, practicing day and night in a woodland environment.
Major Uldis Dadžāns, commander of the 19th Combat Support Battalion, stressed the importance of regular training as a crucial component of the national defense system. He stated, "National defense relies on prepared individuals, clear actions, and mutual trust. Our task is to continuously improve the capabilities of the National Guardsmen so that we can respond quickly and effectively to protect the citizens and territory of Latvia if necessary."
These exercises not only strengthen the skills of the National Guardsmen but also enhance the overall capability and resilience of the National Armed Forces. Regular training fortifies the nation's defense readiness, ensuring that the military can react efficiently to any potential threats within the region.
