Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that the United States has approached Ukraine with requests for military expertise in two specific areas in the Middle East, although he did not disclose which areas those are. This assertion came during a brief update on the outcomes of recent meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region, as reported by Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian teams are already assisting five countries in countering the threat posed by Iranian Shahed drones. These teams are engaged in providing expert assessments and contributing to the development of defense systems aimed at mitigating drone attacks. The active involvement of Ukrainian experts highlights not only their military capabilities but also their international relevance in global security matters, particularly concerning threats from Iran.

Additionally, the Ukrainian president stated that apart from the US requests, there has been interest from other countries seeking expert support, including European partners with forces deployed in the region.
