Zelensky: 200 Ukrainian military experts are already working in the Middle East
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 201 military specialists have been sent to the Middle East to assist in drone attack defenses.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Tuesday that a total of 201 military specialists have already been deployed to Middle Eastern countries to help combat drone attacks. These experts are crucial in providing knowledge and strategies on how to protect against Iranian-made 'Shahed' drones, which pose a significant threat to regional security. Zelensky's announcement came during his address to the UK Parliament, highlighting the international support for Ukraine's military efforts.
He further elaborated that the Ukrainian expert units have already arrived in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, with additional personnel prepared for deployment to Kuwait. This indicates a strategic move by Ukraine to extend its military collaboration and support beyond Europe, engaging with nations that are also vulnerable to drone warfare. The presence of these specialists is aimed at enhancing the defense capabilities of these countries against specific aerial threats.
Zelensky also mentioned ongoing cooperation with several other countries, suggesting that agreements have already been established, which could lead to an expanded international partnership in military defense. This move not only underscores Ukraine's commitment to global security but also shows the increasing importance of international military cooperation in addressing modern threats such as drone warfare. These developments could have broader implications for regional stability and alliances within the Middle East.
