Kisiels re-elected as president of the Latvian Automobile Federation
Entrepreneur Raimonds Kisiels was re-elected as president of the Latvian Automobile Federation (LAF) with 65 votes from members.
Raimonds Kisiels was officially re-elected as president of the Latvian Automobile Federation (LAF) on Thursday. He garnered support from 65 members, overcoming the competition from Janis Vanks, who received 28 votes. The election saw participation from 96 members who were either present or represented by proxy, demonstrating a healthy level of engagement among the federation's members. Kisiels has a history with LAF, having first been elected president in 2018 and being re-elected four years ago as well, indicating a strong trust from the membership body.
Alongside Kisiels, three vice-presidents were also elected to assist in managing the federation over the next four years. The new leadership team is comprised of a diverse group of individuals with various roles covering different aspects of automobile sports in Latvia. The full presidency includes positions such as vice-presidents Andris Zvingēvics, Jānis Naglis, and Jānis Krastiņš, in addition to several committee heads for drifting, karting, and rallying, among others. This structure aims to ensure effective management and development of automobile sports across various disciplines in the country.
