Latvia's best young auto mechanic will be determined in Ķīpsala

The finals of a competition to find Latvia's best young auto mechanic will include participants from across the country, showcasing the increased skill level of this year's contestants.

In Ķīpsala, a competition is set to determine Latvia's best young auto mechanic, featuring finalists from various regions across the country. Earlier rounds saw participation from 52 young competitors representing 13 technical schools, demonstrating the commitment and enthusiasm among Latvia's youth for automotive mechanics. The competition's organizers, Inter Cars Latvia, noted a rise in the average knowledge level among the participants this year compared to previous years, indicating a positive trend in technical education in the country.

The finals will see 12 contestants competing for the title, among them Linards Reitmanis from Dobele, Andris Lagzdiņš from Kandava, and representatives from various schools including the Latgale Industrial Technical School and Liepaja State Technical School. The organizers expect a particularly exciting competition due to the heightened skill levels exhibited by this year’s finalists. Some of the participants are graduates from notable educational institutions in Latvia, and their diverse backgrounds add to the competition's appeal and significance.
