Observations by our correspondent at various prayer grounds, including the Fibre Mosque near Old Airport Junction, revealed a heavy deployment of security forces to ensure peaceful observance of the holiday. As worshippers engaged in festivities, police and other security operatives worked diligently to maintain order amidst normal activities in the area.

The intensified security included increased monitoring at central mosques, markets, motor parks, and recreational facilities, aimed at preempting any potential security threats during the Eid prayers. Notably, areas like the mosque near the Federal Secretariat and Masallacin Eid in Tudun Wada hosted both uniformed and plainclothes officers who conducted enhanced patrols. This proactive approach was meant to deter any suspicious behavior and assure the public of a safe environment as they came together to mark the end of Ramadan.

The police had also implemented specific restrictions, notably a ban on commercial tricycles, known locally as Keke Napep, further underscoring the seriousness of the security arrangements to minimize risks.
