WATCH LIVE & BLOG | Roosleht lost points in the World Championship in long jump

Estonian athlete Rasmus Roosleht will compete in the indoor World Championships in Torun, Poland, this weekend, alongside runner Uku Renek Kronbergs.

This weekend, the indoor athletics World Championships are taking place in Torun, Poland, where Estonian athlete Rasmus Roosleht will compete in the men's seven-event competition. The event will kick off with a live broadcast on ETV starting at 11 AM, featuring commentary from Helar Osila and Juhan Kilumets. ERR's sports portal will provide live blogging on the competition, detailing the performances of the athletes throughout the day.

In total, 14 athletes, including Roosleht, will participate in the men's seven-event competition. Estonia had secured two spots for the championship, but Johannes Erm announced earlier in March that he would skip the indoor season due to recovery needs. Risto Lillemets was another potential participant, but he suffered an injury during an international multi-event competition in February and is not yet fully recovered, leading to Roosleht representing Estonia alone in this competition.

Last year, Roosleht participated in the Dutch indoor European Championships where he achieved a personal best of 6062 points and finished in seventh place. This weekend’s competition provides an opportunity for him to further improve his performance and possibly secure a spot on the international stage, signifying the importance of such events in tracking the progress of young athletes.
