Almost 13 thousand minimum salaries for doctors. Increases take effect from July 1

Minimum salaries for medical professionals in Poland will increase starting July 1, despite failure to reach a consensus during negotiations.

Negotiations within the Tripartite Health Protection Team have been ongoing for several months, but a consensus has not been achieved. As a result, starting from July 1, minimum salaries for medical professionals in Poland will be increased significantly. The Ministry of Health had proposed delaying the adjustment until January 2027 and reducing the rate of increase, which faced strong opposition from health sector representatives. As a compromise, the new minimum salaries will be calculated based on the average salary in the national economy from 2025, which was set at 8,903.56 PLN. This bases the minimum salaries for a variety of healthcare roles, including doctors, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and medical rescuers.
