9000 PLN minimum wage for this group. Increase comes into effect on July 1, 2026

The minimum wage for public health workers in Poland, including psychologists, is set to rise starting July 1, 2026, based on last year's average wage data.

In Poland, the increase in wages for public healthcare workers, including psychologists, is directly tied to the average salary in the economy from the previous year. Recently, the President of the Central Statistical Office (GUS) announced that the average wage was 8,903.56 PLN. Consequently, this number serves as the basis for determining the new minimum wages to be implemented in the healthcare sector starting July 1, 2026.

For psychologists employed in healthcare institutions, the upcoming increases will see their minimum wages adjusted as per statutory regulations which mandate annual revisions on July 1. Specifically, a psychologist with a coefficient of 1.02 will receive a gross salary increase to 9,081.63 PLN, marking an increase of 736.28 PLN compared to 2025. Meanwhile, clinical psychology specialists, with a coefficient of 1.29, will see their wages rise to 11,485.59 PLN gross, meaning an increase of 931.17 PLN from the previous year.

These adjustments reflect the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the salary structure within the healthcare profession, recognizing the pivotal role that mental health professionals play. As part of a broader strategy, the Ministry of Health is advocating for continuous wage increases starting in 2027, further illustrating the importance of adequately compensating healthcare workers for their contributions to public health in Poland.
