You need to pass 31 gates to enter the BTS stage... Learn about the three subway stations that will not stop
The upcoming BTS concert in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, is expected to attract up to 260,000 attendees, leading to significant transportation adjustments, including non-stop subway services at three nearby stations.
On the 21st of the month, a major BTS concert is set to take place at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, with an expected attendance of up to 260,000 audience members. In preparation for the crowd, authorities announced that several subway stations in the vicinity will not allow trains to stop to ensure public safety and manage the influx of people more efficiently. Specifically, the Seoul subway stations of City Hall, Gyeongbokgung, and Gwanghwamun will bypass stops on that day from 3 PM to 10 PM, while access points at certain exits will also close early.
In addition to subway adjustments, the surrounding roads will be subject to traffic controls to further enhance safety. Major thoroughfares, including Sejong-daero and Sajik-ro, will have designated closures to manage both vehicle and pedestrian movements effectively. These restrictions will be in place for more than 33 hours, starting from the night before the concert until the following morning. Temporary trains are also planned to operate after the concert ends, ensuring that attendees can return home conveniently.
Police officials will employ a 'stadium-style crowd management approach' to effectively manage the large gathering. This strategy will help streamline entry through the 31 gates set up at the venue, allowing for a smoother experience for concert-goers. Attendees are advised to minimize personal belongings on the day of the event to facilitate quicker security screenings. Comprehensive information regarding traffic changes and crowd management can be obtained from various contact points, ensuring concertgoers stay informed and prepared for the day ahead.
