Heavy Rain in Delhi-NCR Early Morning, Check Weather Report Before Stepping Out

Early morning heavy rainfall in Delhi-NCR has brought relief from the heat but posed challenges for commuters.

In the early hours, Delhi-NCR experienced a sudden change in weather marked by heavy rain, strong winds, and thunder. Starting around 5 AM, dark clouds rolled in, leading to downpours that provided respite from the prior heat but made it difficult for individuals planning to leave their homes. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had anticipated this weather shift, warning residents to be cautious while commuting. Those heading to work or taking children for exams are advised to leave at least 20-30 minutes earlier to avoid delays.

This is not the first instance of rain in the region, as Delhi-NCR has been under continuous rainfall patterns for several days now. According to the IMD, the skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy today, with light rainfall accompanied by thunder and winds gusting at speeds between 30-40 kmph, and potentially reaching up to 50 kmph. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and ensure safety during this inclement weather.

The forecast also indicates that throughout the day, light rain showers may occur intermittently, along with thunder and high winds. The maximum temperature in Delhi is projected to be between 25°C to 27°C, while the minimum could range from 15°C to 17°C, indicating a drop from recent warmer temperatures. The IMD will continue to monitor the situation, giving updates on the upcoming days’ weather patterns as the rainy spell is expected to persist.
