The 13th pension before the holidays. This year, ZUS will accelerate payments

The 13th pension will be paid to eligible retirees before Easter this year, with adjustments to payment dates due to holidays.

Poland's social security institution, ZUS, is set to accelerate the payment of the 13th pension for eligible retirees, ensuring that many recipients will receive their funds just before the Easter holidays. The 13th pension is available to individuals entitled to retirement or disability benefits as of March 31, 2026, without restrictions related to the size of their primary benefits.

The payment for the 13th pension is scheduled to coincide with the regular monthly pension distribution, which occurs on specific dates throughout the month. Due to Easter Monday falling on April 6, ZUS has adjusted the payment date to the last working day beforehand, meaning pensions will be disbursed on April 3 instead. This decision is expected to benefit a significant number of retirees, allowing them to have funds available during the holiday period.

Similar adjustments are anticipated for the subsequent payment due on April 25, which also falls on a weekend. To ensure that retirees receive their funds on time, this payment is likely to be made on Friday, April 24. Furthermore, the amounts for both the 13th and 14th pensions have already been announced, providing clarity for recipients about their expected financial support.
