Seid brings services for people with disabilities to four municipalities in Piauí

The Piauí government is launching the 'Inclusão Itinerante' project to provide essential services for individuals with disabilities in several municipalities.

The Piauí government is set to launch an initiative named 'Inclusão Itinerante' aimed at providing crucial services to people with disabilities across four municipalities: Esperantina, Boa Hora, Coronel José Dias, and São Raimundo Nonato. This project, spearheaded by the Secretary for Inclusion of People with Disabilities (Seid), will be mobilized via a motorhome equipped with essential resources such as tables, chairs, and a canopy tent.

The services rendered through this inclusive initiative include the issuance of identification documents tailored for individuals with disabilities, such as the Autistic Identification Card, Intermunicipal Free Pass, Cultural Free Pass, and the new National Identity Card featuring the individual's type of disability. This comprehensive approach not only aims to decentralize government services but also to bring essential rights and resources directly to those who may struggle to access them in traditional centers.

According to Mauro Eduardo, the Secretary for Inclusion of People with Disabilities, the 'Inclusão Itinerante' project is a vital step towards enhancing the accessibility of rights and services for people with disabilities in Piauí, encouraging inclusion, and emphasizing the government's commitment to supporting all citizens regardless of their challenges. This mobile service aims to ensure that all individuals have access to the necessary documentation and rights they are entitled to, thereby promoting greater equality and social integration in the region.
