INSS Mutirão Offers More Than 850 Medical Examinations in Piauí This Weekend
The Brazilian Ministry of Social Security is conducting a weekend medical examination event in Piauí to expedite the processing of incapacity and assistance benefits.
This weekend, the Brazilian Ministry of Social Security is hosting a medical examination event in Piauí, which will offer more than 850 medical evaluations aimed at accelerating the analysis of incapacity and assistance benefits (BPC/LOAS). The initiative comes as part of a broader effort to reduce waiting times and enhance access for insured individuals to much-needed assistance. The examinations will be available both in-person and through a telehealth option known as 'Perícia Conectada', ensuring that people in regions with fewer professionals can still access the necessary services.
To facilitate participation, insured individuals can schedule their examinations in advance either by calling 135 or through the Meu INSS online platform. The agency emphasizes that both in-person and remote evaluations adhere to high standards of security and confidentiality, aiming to guarantee the same level of service quality. Those who schedule appointments are required to attend the agency at their designated date and time to receive their evaluations.
This initiative is part of a national mobilization that includes similar events in several other Brazilian states including Goiás, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Amazonas, Pará, Alagoas, Rio Grande do Norte, and Paraná. Such efforts signal a concerted push by the government to improve the efficiency of the social security system and reduce bureaucratic delays that have affected many Brazilians in need of these vital health and financial resources.
