Beginning on March 23, two-way traffic will be instituted on Irlava Street in Riga, specifically on the stretch between Volguntes Street and Kalnciema Street. This change comes in response to proposals from local residents and aims to improve traffic flow within the existing infrastructure, particularly by reducing congestion at the intersections of Ventspils Street and Lielirbes Street. The maximum speed limit for vehicles in the affected area will be set at 30 kilometers per hour.

To ensure safe two-way movement on Irlava Street, parking will be restricted near intersections and in the middle of the street segment, allowing sufficient space for vehicles traveling in the opposite direction. Additionally, during weekdays from 7 AM to 7 PM, turning right from Irlava Street onto Kalnciema Street will be prohibited to enhance traffic safety and manage the flow more effectively.
