Jeon has been accused of receiving significant amounts of cash and luxury watches from the church during 2018 and 2019 but denies all charges against him. The investigation also involves other individuals, including former Democratic Party representative Im Jong-seong, who is similarly accused of receiving illicit funds, and Kim Kyu-hwan, CEO of Korea Coal Corporation, who has faced questioning as well.
