In an interview with Al Jazeera Net, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, the head of Qatar's General Authority of Customs, reassured that there are no signs of concern regarding commodity shortages or disruptions in supply chains within Qatar, even amidst current regional tensions. He highlighted that the country's stability is supported by diversified sources of imports, efficient logistical infrastructure, and sufficient strategic stockpiles of essential goods, ensuring local market stability.

Al Jamal elaborated that the customs authority continuously monitors trade flows across various ports, in collaboration with relevant agencies, to guarantee the smooth entry of goods and to prevent supply chains from being affected by any recent developments. He noted that Qatar has demonstrated a strong capacity to handle regional crises efficiently and flexibly over the past years, ensuring the security and stability of supplies under all circumstances.

Regarding measures taken to assure the continuous flow of essential goods and food supplies, Al Jamal mentioned that the customs authority has implemented proactive strategies to facilitate imports and maintain adequate inventories, reaffirming Qatar's commitment to manage supply effectively and mitigate potential disruptions caused by external factors.
