A serious incident of alleged sexual assault has emerged during a house party in Gurugram's Sector 33, where a 19-year-old college student was reportedly raped. According to police reports, the incident occurred after the victim attended a birthday celebration of a friend at his flat, where alcohol was being served. The accused, identified as Divyam, was also invited to the party through one of the victim's acquaintances and is now in police custody.

The victim, who is a student at Delhi University and originally hails from West Bengal, found herself in a vulnerable situation as the party progressed. During the late hours of the celebration, the accused allegedly began to harass her while under the influence of alcohol. It is reported that he took advantage of her impaired state and led her to a secluded part of the flat where the assault was committed. The victim reacted with resistance and raised an alarm, prompting the attention of others at the party to the incident.

Following the assault, local authorities acted swiftly; the victim informed her friend about the incident who assisted in contacting the police. The accused was subsequently apprehended and presented in court, where he was remanded to judicial custody.
