A disturbing case has emerged from Gurugram, where a live-in partner brutally assaulted his girlfriend, a Biotechnology student at GD Goenka University. The victim, originally from Tripura, has been hospitalized in critical condition at AIIMS Delhi following the attack. The police, alerted by a call from the victim's mother, responded quickly and apprehended the 19-year-old accused, Shivam, at the scene in sector 69.

According to early reports, the violent incident was provoked by the accused's unfounded suspicions regarding the victim's fidelity. DCP South Hitesh Yadav stated that the victim was admitted to a government hospital in Gurugram but was transferred to AIIMS Delhi due to the severity of her injuries.
