Ecuador is set to showcase two notable films, 'El niño probeta' and 'Érase una vez en Quito', at the International Alturas Film Festival, which will take place from May 13 to 17 in Jujuy, Argentina. This festival is celebrated for highlighting cinematic talent from the Andean region, and this year marks its 11th edition, as announced in the festival's official selection.

The selected films will participate in competitive categories, promoting Ecuador's cultural output on an international stage. Among a total of 56 productions included in the festival's program, the chosen Ecuadorian films will compete in the International Fiction Competition, alongside entries from several other countries in the region, reflecting the rich diversity of storytelling in contemporary Latin American cinema.
