In the early hours of Tuesday, a truck fire completely blocked the Presidente Dutra highway in Jacareí, São Paulo, leading to massive traffic congestion. The incident occurred around 1:25 AM at kilometer 163 on the road heading towards Rio de Janeiro. The truck was reportedly carrying various products from Mercado Livre, and the fire resulted in the complete closure of the highway, causing panic among motorists but fortunately no injuries were reported.

As the fire raged, the traffic congestion worsened, initially starting at 2 kilometers and escalating to a peak of 10 kilometers by 6 AM. The highway's managing body, RioSP, responded to the situation by implementing a detour at kilometer 169, directing vehicles onto the Dom Pedro I highway to alleviate the congestion. While the emergency measures helped manage the traffic flow, motorists experienced significant delays during the chaos.

The situation was finally resolved, and the highway was fully reopened by 7:20 AM, with traffic returning to normal in the affected area. Although this incident caused considerable disturbance for drivers and local transportation, it ended without any injuries, emphasizing the importance of emergency response measures in dealing with such unexpected events on major highways.
