Traffic solution on Bombero Avenue is 23% complete, according to the Municipality of Guayaquil

The Municipality of Guayaquil reports that the construction of an elevated bridge on Bombero Avenue has reached 23% completion as supervised by Acting Mayor Tatiana Coronel.

The acting mayor of Guayaquil, Tatiana Coronel, recently conducted a supervision tour of the construction site for an elevated bridge on Bombero Avenue, located in the Los Ceibos area of the city. This inspection took place alongside the municipal director of Public Works, Carlos Vásquez. During the visit, Coronel was informed that the project has achieved a 23% completion rate, marking significant progress in the infrastructure development of the city.

According to Carlos Vásquez, the work involves the construction of the first elevated bridge, which will connect the Costa Highway to the city center. He highlighted that the installation of beams for this bridge has already commenced, with work done in three sections as part of the overall solution to improve traffic flow. This project is considered a crucial step towards enhancing transportation in the area, easing vehicular congestion, and providing a more efficient route for commuters.

The construction activity required partial road closures during the weekend, particularly affecting the central lanes of the avenue. Such infrastructural upgrades are part of Guayaquil's broader efforts to modernize urban transit systems and improve mobility for its residents. The progress of this construction demonstrates the city's commitment to infrastructure development as a means to facilitate growth and enhance the quality of urban life.
