Weather's Changed Mood! Snowfall in the Western Himalayas and Heavy Rain Expected in the Northeast
Weather patterns in several parts of India are changing, with snow in the Western Himalayas and expected heavy rain in the Northeast.
Weather conditions across India are shifting, with the Western Himalayan region experiencing ongoing snowfall and rainfall expected to last for several days. Light to moderate precipitation is likely in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand until March 21, which may lead to colder temperatures in mountainous areas due to fresh snowfall. In the lower regions, cloudy skies and light rain could contribute to a drop in overall temperatures.
In Northeast India, weather activity is also predicted to be quite dynamic. From March 20, states like Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will likely see light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. Some areas may even experience heavy rainfall, which will contribute to pleasant weather conditions in these regions.
Additionally, there is a forecast of rain in several eastern Indian states. On March 17, West Bengal, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Jharkhand are expected to remain cloudy with light rain and thunderstorms, enhancing the cooling effect in these areas. This weather change is significant for local agriculture and daily weather patterns, affecting both livelihoods and climate conditions.
