Cloud Movement in Delhi, Rain and Snow from Kashmir to Assam
Heavy rainfall and snow are forecast across northern India due to a western disturbance, providing relief from the summer heat.
Amidst the severe heat affecting various parts of India, there is a noticeable change in weather with the anticipation of relief in the coming days. The recent western disturbance has initiated a series of rains and snowfall on mountainous regions, which has started to show its effects in the plains as well. In Delhi, temperatures are falling, and the weather department predicts light rain and thunderstorms within the next 2-3 days, leading to more pleasant weather conditions as the maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius with a minimum of 18 degrees. In the northern states, particularly Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected until March 17. The same weather patterns are predicted for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during this period as well. As snowfall intensifies in the hilly areas, a noticeable drop in temperature will make it feel colder for the residents. This pattern of weather change is crucial for agriculture and water resources in these regions, which often rely on timely seasonal precipitation. The northeastern part of India will also witness active weather conditions, with warnings for heavy rain and snow in Arunachal Pradesh. Assam and Meghalaya are projected to receive significant rainfall between March 13 and 15, contributing to both potential flooding and the replenishing of water sources in the area. Overall, these weather changes are expected to alleviate the discomfort caused by the heat while enhancing water supplies during a critical period for farmers and agricultural activities.
