Sudden disappearance of cold! Weather will change in many states due to Western Disturbance

A new Western Disturbance is approaching the Himalayas, which will alter the weather in several regions of India, with cloud cover and light rain expected in hilly areas while temperatures in northern plains continue to rise.

A new Western Disturbance is moving towards the Himalayas, predicted to impact weather across various parts of India. There is a possibility of clouds and light rainfall in hilly areas such as Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Ladakh starting Monday, while regions like Himachal Pradesh could also see weather changes, particularly in Mandi and Chamba. However, other areas such as Kullu, Manali, Shimla, and much of Uttarakhand are expected to remain clear for now.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloud coverage is likely in the mountainous regions on Monday, but the plains will remain largely dry. The IMD has issued a warning for potential rainfall or snowfall in parts of the Western Himalayas from February 17 to 19, indicating significant weather changes might soon affect these regions.

The founder of the weather blog ‘Mausam Tak’ and agricultural weather vlogger Devendra Tripathi has noted that while some areas are gearing up for a shift in weather patterns, the overall impact is expected to reduce the cold waves in northern India. This shift could alter agricultural practices and daily life in regions affected by the predicted weather changes.
