A festive event in the rural community of Padaria, Anajás, tragically concluded with gunfire, leading to the death of one individual, Miguel Fernandes da Costa Junior, and injuries to two others early on Sunday morning. The incident occurred on the banks of the Saparará stream during a lively gathering that had attracted a large crowd since Saturday evening.
According to the Civil Police of Pará, the shooting appears to have stemmed from a confrontation between rival groups associated with criminal factions. Eyewitnesses reported that armed men initiated the firefight, which also injured Lucas Ferreira dos Santos, a security personnel who was present at the party and was shot during the chaos and subsequently hospitalized. The event, which began as a celebration, quickly escalated into violence, highlighting ongoing issues related to organized crime in the region.
