The temperature difference in the inland area of Gyeongsang is 15 degrees... be careful with health and clothing

The Korea Meteorological Administration warns of significant temperature variations between day and night in inland areas, particularly in Gyeongsang, urging caution for health and appropriate dressing.

The Korea Meteorological Administration has issued a warning about considerable day-night temperature differences in the Gyeongsang inland area, expected to reach around 15 degrees Celsius. As temperatures dip below freezing in the morning in areas such as eastern Gyeonggi, inland mountainous regions of Gangwon, and interior regions of North Gyeongsang, residents are advised to monitor their health and dress accordingly to prevent illnesses associated with cold. Forecasted high temperatures for the day range from 9 to 15 degrees, which are on par with or slightly above average for this time of year.

Meteorologists also highlighted the need for farmers to exercise caution regarding potential frost, as low temperatures in central and western inland areas could lead to frost formation over the next couple of days. They specifically mentioned that areas such as Jeollabuk-do and inland parts of Jeollanam-do should be particularly vigilant as the risk of frost can impact agricultural production in the region. The predicted highs in major cities reflect a diverse temperature range across South Korea, indicating that while some areas might be slightly warmer, others remain on the cusp of freezing conditions.

In terms of weather conditions, skies are expected to remain cloudy during the day but should clear up by night, enhancing visibility. However, the forecast also indicates a likelihood of light rain in southern Gyeonggi Province and parts of Chungcheong and Jeollanam-do during the day. There is also a possibility of light snow in mountainous areas of Gangwon and North Gyeongsang, which could lead to slippery roads due to the formation of ice or frost. Residents, particularly pedestrians and drivers, are advised to exercise caution when moving about in these areas, considering the potential hazardous conditions.
