Fuel prices in the capitals of the Baltic States have risen most sharply in Riga
Fuel prices have experienced significant increases in Riga compared to Tallinn and Vilnius over the past week, particularly diesel fuel.
At the end of the work week, the highest price for gasoline was in Tallinn, followed by Riga and Vilnius. Diesel fuel was most expensive in Vilnius, then Riga, while Tallinn recorded the lowest price for diesel. In Riga, at the 'Circle K' gas station on Krasta Street, the price for 95 octane gasoline increased by 4.9% from the previous Friday, reaching €1.714 per liter, while diesel fuel saw a remarkable increase of 15.9%, reaching €1.964 per liter by the end of the week.
In Vilnius, at the 'Circle K' gas station on Savanorju Prospektas, the price for 95 octane gasoline rose by 4.5% over the week to €1.687 per liter, while diesel fuel prices increased by 7.6%, closing at €1.994 per liter on Friday. Tallinn's 'Circle K' gas stations reported a 6.8% increase in the price of 95 octane gasoline over the week, reaching €1.739 per liter, while diesel fuel was priced at €1.859 per liter, which is 6.9% higher than the previous week. Additionally, prices for autogas have also increased across all Baltic capitals.
