The National Transit Agency (ANT) in Ecuador has announced that users who were previously scheduled to obtain their driving licenses can now reacquire their appointments. This change follows a service suspension that occurred in January due to investigations concerning alleged irregular activities within the agency. Starting last Monday, ANT has resumed nine services and a total of 155 procedures across the country, providing a much-needed relief for citizens awaiting essential transit services.

The restoration of service comes as a great relief to users who had been left in limbo without access to essential services since the suspension. Though the majority of service points have reopened, the agency noted that two locations in Pichincha, specifically in Mejía and Cayambe, remain closed. For those wishing to reschedule their driving license appointments, the ANT has clarified that users can proceed with the necessary steps without incurring additional fees. To create a new appointment, users must access the agency's official website and utilize the 'Online Appointments' feature. This effort reflects the agency's commitment to restoring services while ensuring that the procedures remain accessible and user-friendly for the public.
